#FILM SLATE CODE#
I used some of the code for the display from Blair Thompson at I assembled a rudimentary code and began building the display. Explaining how this works is beyond the scope of this instructable, but there is a considerable amount of information on the web as well as numerous instructables that explain this concept very thoroughly. Basically, the timer counts during every clock cycle of the micro-controller, and once it reaches a predefined number, it triggers the Interrupt Service Routine, or ISR. To accomplish this is used the Timer1 on the Arduino and configured it as a Compare Match timer. The interrupt would also prevent the timing from being thrown off. This way I could ensure that at every 1/30 of a second the interrupt would fire and add 1 to the smallest time interval, in this case the 1/30s of a second. One of my friends recommended using an interrupt sequence to control the timing. Any delay in the process could potentially throw the entire clock off. It was imperative that the code run as smoothly and quickly as possible. All of my previous Arduino sketches have been fairly simple, non time critical programs. This is probably the most difficult part of this entire project (for me anyway). Atmega 328p 16MHz crystal+ 22pf load capacitors MAX7219 (8) seven segment LED display DS3234 Real Time Clock 100 nanofarad capacitors 10 microfarad capacitors A1126 Hall effect sensor Breadboard/perfboard Wire (I used wire wrapping wire because of its small diameter) USB to FTDI (for programming the arduino, not necessary if you are using a different microcontroller) Lithium battery (2000 mAh 3.7v from Sparkfun) PowerCell (to charge the battery and supply 5v to the rest of the electronics, also Sparkfun) I started with my Duemilanove for prototyping and then migrated to a Atmega328 which was mounted onto the circuit board. I am fairly familiar with them and it seemed like a simple solution. To run the display I decided to use an Arduino. I opted to use those last two digits for 1/30th of a second (30 frames per second) but I can always go back and change that in the code to 1/100ths or whatever I want to split the seconds into. If you look at videos of the slate in use, you will notice that the last 2 digits are not for the 1/100th of a second, but for the frame number. 2 digits each are used for the hours, minutes and seconds. The service is also set to premiere Ridley Scott’s Napoleon, starring Joaquin Phoenix as the French leader, The Beanie Bubble, a film about the Beanie Babie craze starring Elizabeth Banks, Zach Galifianakis, Sarah Snook, and Geraldine Viswanathan, and Ghosted, which is described as “a high concept romantic action-adventure film starring Chris Evans and Ana de Armas”.After studying images and videos of the TS-3 in use I determined that the display consisted of 8 seven segment LED displays. The service will also be the home to a new spy thriller from Matthew Vaughn called Argylle which will feature a huge ensemble cast that includes Henry Cavill, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Dua Lipa, Ariana DeBose, John Cena, and Samuel L. One such film is the highly anticipated next collaboration between Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio called Killers of the Flower Moon, also starring Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, and John Lithgow, among others. There is an expansive list of films confirmed to be coming to the service but are currently without release dates. Luck, which will come to the service on August 5, is an animated film about “the unluckiest girl in the world” and features the voice talents of Jane Fonda, Whoopi Goldberg, Eva Noblezada, Simon Pegg, Flula Borg, Lil Rel Howery, Colin O’Donoghue, John Ratzenberger, and Adelynn Spoon.īut the slate of Apple Original films do not stop at the ones listed above, nor do they stop at 2022.

Dramatic Audience Award, and will premiere on Apple TV+ on June 17.

Also starring Dakota Johnson, the film won the 2022 Sundance Film Festival U.S. Cha Cha Real Smooth follows Cooper Raiff as a young man stuck living at home who, while working the local bar mitzvah circuit, strikes up a friendship with a young mother. This summer, some of the films coming to the platform include Cha Cha Real Smooth and Luck.

Now, following the critical acclaim of the service's original films from last year, like CODA and The Tragedy of Macbeth, both of which were nominated for multiple Oscars, Apple has announced some of the Apple Original Films that audiences can expect to find coming to the streamer in 2022 and beyond. Ever since AppleTv+ launched in 2019, it has been working to build up its slate of original programming.
